Well done to all the children who took part in the School Games Regional Finals which took place on Monday 12th March . A fantastic day began with circus entertainers and speeches by the Lady Mayoress and the World Cup referee Howard Webb.
The top 4 schools in Sheffield plus the top 2 from Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster competed in Olympic style relay running events and field events such as triple jump,long jump and high jump.
The children really gave it their all and finished a creditable 7th out of all the primary schools in South Yorkshire. This was no mean feat given that the majority of our team were made up of children who were 2 or 3 years younger than their opposition!
Throughout the day the children behaved impeccably with big smiles on their faces, which is really what it’s all about!
