Hopefully your child will have been bringing spelling sheets and times table sheets home to learn at home. I am thrilled with the children who have made a big effort to improve their skills. In school we have used some You Tube songs to help to make learning tables more fun. This seems to be working well.
Over the next few weeks we will be learning about Egyptians. We have already looked at how to mummify a body and we have used these procedures to mummify a tomato! We will let you know the results in a couple of weeks. There are lots of activities and interactive sites for children on the web about Egyptians. If possible pleases could your child do some research to support learning in school. At the end of e topic the children will be asked to write an information sheet about what we have covered. Any extra information children learn at home will help to make their work more interesting.
If you have any spare time at the end of the school day, please call in to see the work your child has produced recently. I am very proud of the progress they have all made and I’m sure you will be too.
