The children are learning about the Sacrament of Baptism.
Some suggestions for home could be to talk to your child about their own Baptism. Find reminders (photos, video, baptismal candle, gifts)
We are thinking about the significance of ‘water’ within this sacrament and what it represents.
The children have thought about:
What we use water for? (drinking, washing, paddling, swimming)
What would happen if we did not have any water? (plants, animals and people would die)
Something to do:
At church watch how people use holy water to make the sign of the cross as they come in and/or go out. This is a reminder of Baptism and a sign that the person is coming in as a member of the family of Jesus.
