Well done to the 8 boys and 4 girls from y5/6 who competed in the Squash event at Hallamshire Tennis club last Thursday.
For a few of them it was the first time that they had represented St Wilfrids in a sporting event .
It was also the first time many of the children had ever experienced playing squash!!
They played their hearts out and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with a big smile on their face.
The fun was topped off when one of our teams of boys managed to win a huge trophy !
All the children received a certificate and were hopefully inspired to continue playing squash outside of school.
Many thanks to Sam Gardiner and the rest of the coaches down at the Hallamshire . As usual it was a fantastic event.
