Sheffield City Finals of the Sports Hall Athletics
Well done to all the children who represented St Wilfrid’s Primary School in the Sheffield City Finals of the Sports Hall Athletics Event at Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Thursday 15th January.
20 boys and girls competed in sprinting, relays and various field events against the top 7 schools from across the city.
Cheered on by lots of vocal parents, the children performed brilliantly, with fantastic effort from each and every one. The girls in particular deserve a special mention for outstanding effort in the sprints.
Amazingly, at the end of the event, the points were tallied and it was announced that we had qualified for the South Yorkshire regional finals at The English Institute of Sport on 13th March, only narrowly missing first place by a couple of points!
