In Year 1 we have started our topic of Advent in R.E. The children have been thinking about Advent as a time of looking forward to Christmas, the birthday of Jesus. Last week the children wrote ideas for how they can prepare themselves for Advent by helping others. We will use these ideas for our Class Advent Calender. This week we will be finding out about the symbolism of the Advent Wreath and how it helps us as we wait for Christmas.
