Unfortunately I had to cancel our trip to Mother of God last Friday . I am hoping that I will be able to rearrange our visit once the snow goes. We did however have a lovely day in school on Friday and we spent time exploring the snow on the field. We then had hot chocolate to warm us up for snack. The children enjoyed having a class lunch in the classroom and it was lovely to see them interacting with each other as they ate. We had another chance in the afternoon to go out and play in the snow in our outside area where the children used our spades and shovels from the sand to dig up and collect the snow. The children have been fascinated with the amount of ice in our water tray and there have been lots of science opportunities for us to observe and explore.
