Maths
As you all enjoyed the maths games so much thi sweek please play some games at home to help with calculation skills. Snakes and ladders or ludo played with two dice can be fun. Pontoon is a fun card game where you have to collect cards to get as close as possible to 21. If your cards add up to more than 21 you have ‘bust’ and your score doesn’t count.
Try playing the game we played in school today with either 2 or 3 dice. For 2 dice choose 9 numbers between 1 and 12 and ask other players to do the same and then throw the dice. (you can choose the same number twice if you wish) Use addition, multiplication or subtraction to try to make one of the totals you have chosen. eg if you throw a 5 and a 2 you can make 7 (5+2) , 10 (2 x 5) or 3 (5 -2). If you choose to use 3 dice then you can use different calculations for one total, but you have to use the numbers on all three dice eg if you throw 2 5 and 4 you can make 6 (2 x 5 = 10 then take away 4), You can make 10 (4 x 5 then divide by 2)
Talk homework
Use your planning sheet to tell someone the Easter story. Remember to include as many details as you can. Try to include some speech. This will help you when you weite your story next week.
