Year ones
Maths – we have been working on simple fractions this week and the children have done similar activities in class. Below are a few tasks for your child to do at home. If they do it on their own I can use it as a guide as to what they can do. If quarters are confusing just get them to stick to halves
Literacy – keep working on the spelling of those high frequency words.
Reading – From next week some children will be given the chance to bring home a non Oxford Reading Tree book. This will hopefully promote their love of reading and give them access to a good range of books and vocabulary. Let me know how they get on and if they enjoy these books in addition to the Oxford books.
