We have been workig on time so anything you can do to suport this is helpful.
Days of the week – knowing what order, what comes before or after a day, how many days in a week etc
Months of the year – order, names, what comes before and after, seasons, days in the months.
O’clock and half past on an analogue clock. The vocabulary we use is – hands, hours, minutes, seconds, face, o’clock and half past. Hour hand and minute hand if your child is able rather than big hand and little hand (this is still ok in Year 1 though!)
Any talok about what your child does on certain days and how this may differ at the weekend. Birthday months – any talk about the real aspects of time in their lives.
