Welcome back for the new term. I hope you all had a good break and thank-you for the lovely Christmas gifts I received, they were very much appreciated. The first half term we will be examining Myths & Legends and how they are structured to be able to deliver our own myth in the form of a comic strip. We will also be doing some more poetry looking in particular at Calligrams.

The weekly maths tests and feedback sessions that I wrote to you about are now embedded in our timetable and the initial results are very encouraging with a number of children already doubling their scores.
In Science we have begun to look at Healthy Eating and our class assembly will also be on this. If we have any parents who would like to come in and talk about food/ diet etc they would be more than welcome.

In D&T we are making model Tudor houses in preparation for studying the Tudors in the second half-term. In all our topics I will ensure that any related weblinks are added to the Y3 section so that children can, if they wish, continue their learning at home. Finally in Geography we will be learning about water.

This half term we are learning about Greek myths. Today we looked at Theseus and The Minataur.

This half term we are studying greek myths recently we have been looking at thesus and the minotaur. Our study’s have been on the oral story and the comic strip version, we have been comparing the diffrent version.
