Bolehills Park Cross Country

Excellent performances by Y4 girls,Y4 boys, Y5/6 girls and Y5/6 boys in cross country held at Bolehills Park Crookes on Saturday 12/11/11. Athough a lovely sunny morning, a walk of the course indicated that it was going to be a tough race for all the competitors. A steep hill which had to be negotiated twice in the Y4 races and three times in the Y5/6 races looked particularly demanding.

It was pleasing to see one or two new faces amongst our regular cross country runners.

Y4 boys  (117 ran)    Hugo 8th, William 77th, Marcus 94th, Joseph 95th

Y4 girls (103 ran) Miriam 9th, Amelia 10th, Charlotte 12th,Roisin 43rd, Orla  46th, Ella  74th (and Ella is Y3!) and Olivia 80th

Y5/6 Boys (173 ran ) Jack  40th, Toby 67th, Finlay  95th, Archie 54th.

Y5/6 Girls (112 ran )  Francesca 6th,Millie 53rd ,Natasha 56th, Veronica  61st, Mollie 65th, Juliette 102nd.

Well done to everyone who came and supported us on the day in particular Mr and Mrs Gillespie, Mrs Shield, Mrs Read and Mrs Donaghy for collating all the results.

Purple Mash

In Year 1 the children will be bringing home their login details for ‘Purple Mash’ this week. The children have already had opportunity to use some of the programmes on ‘Purple Mash’ so please encourage them to have a go at home with you. There are lots of exciting games to choose from including maths, reading, phonics and many more. Please have a go and let your child demonstrate the exciting things they have been doing in school!!!!

Collection at home time

If you know in advance that your child is being collected by someone else, then you must send it to us in writing before the day.

If you don’t know until the day that your child is being collected by someone else, then you must write in in our `going home` book, which is blue and located on our side just inside the door. Please ask if you are unsure.

If it is an emergency and very last minute that your child is being collected by someone else, then you must contact the school office no later than 3.00pm. If you have any questions please come and see us.

Many Thanks
