They were competing against 5 other schools Sharrow , St Maries, Loxley ,Stocksbridge and Phillimore

Each match consisted of 2 x 4 minute halves. 4 boys  played the first half and then the 4 girls played the second half.

The first round last month had obviously made an impression on the team. They now knew what to expect and their determination was clear from the first tip off.

Remarkably over their 5 matches the children managed to score 28 baskets and only concede 2!! This is a fantastic achievement given that Basketball matches are normally high scoring affairs on both sides.

They won 12-0 , 14-0, 12-2, 8-0, and 10-2!

During  the afternoon  the children played with great enthusiasm, team spirit, lots of skill and determination. These qualities together with respect  for their opponents and the referees meant that they  were a real credit to the school.

They now progress to the Sheffield City Finals in February 2017
