What a fantastic performance from our Y4 boys at the South Yorkshire Cross Country Championships held on Thursday at Cannon Hall Farm Barnsley.
Schools from across the region competed in the annual event to find the best Cross Country team in South Yorkshire.
Our team consisted of William, Elliot, Joseph, Jamie, George, Vinnie and Edward. These boys have been running once a month on Saturday morning throughout the year in the Sheffield cross country events.
Their performances during the season warranting their qualification for the Regional Finals
On what was a tough course, in freezing muddy conditions, the boys ran their hearts out. The best four finishers out of the team determined the placings.
William excelled in coming 2nd , with George, Joseph , Vinnie , Jamie and Elliot all finishing high up the field.
A score of 55 overall meant that St Wilfrids were runners up in the South Yorkshire Cross Country Championship 2017
