All the children have brought a ‘Complex Speed Sound Chart’ home today. Please practise these sounds for 1 or 2 mins on a regular basis by pointing at the letters and your child will be able to tell you what the sound is. To vary this activity your child could think of words which those sounds can be found in.
Encourage your child to read words, labels and signs around them in their environment whenever possible. Keep up the reading practise over the holidays as this can really help your child.
Remember to practise the 100 high frequency words, both reading and spelling.
