The children have written an opening paragraph for their story of a dog that runs away. Please talk to your child about the story they are writing and ask them questions about the setting and how the characters are feeling as the story progresses. Here is a brief outline of the story:
A child takes a dog for a walk
The dog runs away
The child goes looking for it
The child meets a character who will help them to find the dog
The dog is found (it could be trapped somewhere)
They go home
